Due Dates: January 5th and May 18th
Each semester, students are required to attend one live concert in which they are not a participant. The concert must be of a classical nature such as a choir concert, vocal recital, musical theatre production, or other like performance that is on the high school, college, or professional level. Students should talk with Mr. Egan if they have questions regarding the validity of a concert or performance they intend to count for this assignment. This assignment consists of attending an appropriate concert and completing a concert report assignment found on the choir’s website. (No written reports, please.) Students and parents don’t need to spend excessive amounts of money to complete this assignment. Many applicable performances are free of charge, or very low in cost. Students and parents are encouraged to check the newspapers, websites, and the online calendars of other high schools in the area, and other performing venues to select appropriate performances for this assignment. Because students have an entire term to complete this assignment, late concert reports will not be accepted.
